I said Yes To The Dress!

If you’ve read my other wedding dress blogs, you will know that finding my wedding dress was not easy. At one point, I thought I would have to get on a plane and fly to New York to hunt down Randy Fenoli. But with a little help from Sassi Holford Taunton, my dream dress has become a reality.

On my fifth and final bridal boutique appointment (before I planned a weekend trip to London in the hopes of finding it there) I finally said yes to the dress! I was feeling very deflated with my experience of wedding dress shopping up until now, so I didn’t have high hopes for this appointment, but little did I know, I was about to have the experience every girl dreams of. 

For starters, I would just like to make it known, if you are starting your wedding dress shopping journey, make sure Sassi Holford Taunton is first on your list of places to visit. The team there are absolutely the best in the business, they they make you feel welcome, a safe place to be honest, completely comfortable and not precious about you handling the dresses. In particular, Lucy and Kristine who helped me on my appointment are out of this world, and I wouldn’t have had the same experience if it weren’t for them.

I have loved Sassi Holford dresses since I was little. We’re both from Somerset and their head office and store are in Taunton, where I spent a lot of time growing up, so I always admired Sassi from a young age. I couldn’t believe my luck that when I was trying on her dresses, Sassi herself would be in the boutique on hand to help me find the one! 

But finding the ‘one’ isn’t as it seems. My chosen dress is actually three of Sassi Holford’s 2021 collection joined together! Sassi and the team designed me my dream dress, completely bespoke, while I was there to tell her exactly what I imagined! It was a completely surreal experience, and one I never thought would happen to me. 

I now have the exciting experience of fittings, seeing the dress for the first time and getting it perfect for the big day in September.
